Proliferation of flexible, wearable and portable electronics come with new challenges system reliability. Particularly, flexible cause more frequent are susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI) effects electrostatic discharge (ESD) failures, have unique requirements for design-for-reliability (DfR) associated EMI ESD immunity achieve compatibility (EMC) compliance. This paper outlines the key in design microsystems discusses potential EMI/ESD solutions.
